Sara Thompson is an entrepreneur, technology developer, and construction business owner dedicated to helping people turn ideas into opportunity. As Owner of Baez Building Group, she leads a construction and development firm focused on compliant project delivery and expanding participation of diverse contractors in an industry where women remain underrepresented.

Sara is also Founder & CEO of Unreserved Consulting, where she helps entrepreneurs and small businesses launch, grow, and achieve MWBE (Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise) certification — positioning them to compete for government and corporate contracting opportunities. She is the author of Build Your Business Credit and MWBE Certification.

Beyond construction, Sara develops technology and learning platforms that expand access to education, workforce training, and entrepreneurship — including work with CivicWorks, the NextGen Supplier Diversity Learning Platform (as Program Director), and LDCENY & Hofstra Capital Access Learning Platform. She is the creator of ProcureAI and CuratedCrowd.

With over a decade of leadership across finance, construction, and economic development — including leadership roles at Bethpage Federal Credit Union — Sara builds programs that put resources within reach. A breast cancer survivor and lifelong advocate for empowerment, she holds degrees from SUNY Empire State University and Nassau Community College, with construction project management certification from Pace University.
